Important Dates and Information

  • No School 4/10
  • The Alamo Field Trip 4/13
    • Fee of $20 is requested for each scholar and parent chaperone

    • All chaperones will be riding the bus along with the scholars.
    • Scholars will be bringing their backpacks on the  field trip.
      • Items in their bag to bring to school:
        • purple folder/agenda/any homework
        • packed lunch/water bottle
        • handwipes/hand sanitizer/napkins
        • book to read on the bus 

ELA (Grammar/Writing/Literature/Poetry

  • Grammar/Writing: This week in Grammar, scholars will continue analyzing and diagramming subject pronouns. In Writing, the scholars are going to be annotating the story of Romulus and Remus.
  • Literature: This week scholars will continue with out classic, The Princess and the Goblin. The scholars are going to have an assessment on the classic.

  •  Poetry: Scholars will be given a new poem, The Fool's Prayer and they will recite for a grade the week of 5/25.
  • History: This week scholars will start to review for their unit assessment on the American Revolution.
  • Science: This week scholars will continue working on their group project on Using Natural Resources. The scholars will complete the majority of the work during class time. The scholars will be required to write an essay on the resource they were assigned. This essay will have to be completed at home. The scholars will be working on this group project for the next two weeks.
  • Math: This week scholars will start our new unit on measurements.
