ELA (Grammar/Writing/Literature/Poetry
- Grammar/Writing: Scholars will learn about possessive nouns this week. They will investigate the functions of possessive nouns and how punctuation is incorporated in serving those functions. In Writing, scholars will learn how conflict is used in a story. They will read examples to understand the significance of raising stakes in a story. Scholars will end the week by drafting a story with original dialogue and description.
- Literature: This week scholars will do a reading on the Battle of Lexington Concord to set the stage for our new classic to read, Carry On, Mr. Bowditch,
- Poetry: Scholars will get a new poem, Paul Revere's Ride.
- History: This week scholars will be presenting their independent study projects and continuing with our unit on Medieval Europe.
- Science: This week the scholars are staring a new unit on processes that shape Earth.
- Math: This week scholars will add and subtract mixed number fractions.
