ELA (Grammar/Writing/Literature/Poetry

  • ·         Grammar/Writing: This week scholars will begin a review on analyzing and diagraming sentences for an upcoming cumulative test. Scholars will also continue with our sequencing of events in writing by analyzing "Black Beauty" and "The Myth of the Minotaur".

  • ·         Literature: This week in Literature scholars will finish up reading Robin Hood. 

  • ·         Poetry: Scholars will begin reciting The Tyger for a grade.
  • History: This week scholars will continue learning about Medieval Europe.  We are going to learn what it took to become a knight and how serfs lived.  Scholars will be able to differentiate the toles of serfs and nobility as well as men and women.
  • Science: This week scholars will continuing to gain more knowledge on living things by analyzing the functions of animal structures and how they differ and relate to human structures. 
  • Math: This week scholars will compare and order fractions as well as subtract and add like fractions.
