ELA (Grammar/Writing/Literature/Poetry
- · Grammar/Writing: This week scholars will be introduced to the different types of sentences. In writing, the scholars will look at fables and discuss the moral lessons.
- · Literature: This week in Literature we will continue reading our first Classic of the year, Prince Caspian!
- · Poetry: We will be practicing “The Violet.” We will begin reciting the poem on 9/2/2022. Each day in class we are going to analyze one stanza and have the scholar’s practice reciting the poems as well as look at the structure, rhythm, rhyme, of the poem.
History: This week scholars will begin to explore mountains.
Science: This week scholars will continue learning about different types of energy. Scholars will have a unit assessment the week of 9/5.
Math: This week, scholars will be starting Ch 2: adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers and bar modeling. Scholars will have an assessment on Ch. 2 the week of 9/5.
Highlights: We have completed our second week of school. The scholars are still getting acclimated to being in a classroom environment and each day they continue to showcase our virtues.
